The Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a dual-degree masterโs programme delivered jointly by the University of the West of Scotland (UK) and the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport (Ukraine). It aims to train a new generation of specialists in modern logistics and supply chain practices that integrate sustainability principles with effective management strategies. The curriculum equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to organise and coordinate logistics operations efficiently, from humanitarian aid delivery to reconstruction projects, while also emphasising environmental considerations like emissions reduction and energy efficiency in logistics systems.
The programme is designed to address the specific challenges arising from the war in Ukraine by preparing professionals capable of supporting the countryโs post-war recovery and economic revitalisation. Graduates are expected to be in demand in the logistics market for their ability to optimise supply chains, contribute to rebuilding infrastructure, and enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises. They are also prepared to take on leadership roles in coordinating efforts among humanitarian organisations, government agencies, and industry, and to develop innovative solutions that improve efficiency and sustainability in logistics and supply chain operations.
