About Mosaik and the Guidance Programme

Mosaik Education supports refugees to access higher education through academic guidance and skills programmes that are designed with and for the refugee community. Only 7 per cent of refugees have access to higher education, compared to 42 per cent of youth globally. Low access to tertiary education opportunities limits youth’s potential to become self-reliant, integrate and contribute to their host communities, and help reconstruct their home country when and if they return. Through the Guidance Programme, Mosaik provides guidance through workshops, webinars, and unsynchronised courses in partnership with local stakeholders. We aim to equip youth with the skills and resources they need to search for and apply to tertiary education opportunities. The programme has been offered in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Uganda. Mosaik works with facilitators from local communities to deliver learning material online and in person. In addition to programmes, Mosaik’s activities also include tertiary education partnerships with universities and advocacy that will expand opportunities for refugees. We believe it is necessary to reframe tertiary education as a strategic opportunity for aid agencies, education stakeholders and government. Mosaik Education is an equal opportunity employer that values community-led innovation and inclusivity. As an organisation with team members across the globe, we strive to meet the needs of remote working through our flexible and communicative work culture along with our benefits package which includes mental health support and a remote working stipend.
