Session aims

  1. Articulate the values and appeal of the institution inviting them to interview 
  2. Listen properly to questions, understand their purpose, and answer them appropriately
  3. Critically evaluate answers given to interview questions in practice scenarios
  4. Describe ‘good quality’ answers
  5. Effectively prepare for an interview at your chosen opportunity
  6. Practise effectively with peers and give and receive effective feedback

Make notes in preparation for their interview. No need to submit these. 

Optional extra homework

Ask students to record interview answers to a voice note and share on the WhatsApp group. Give each other feedback. (Students are typically very shy to do this – focus on one student and really encourage them – once the ball is rolling it is a lot easier.)

This can be extended to get the students to ask new questions.
